Afford undertakes the translation of video and audio content according to customers’ production needs. This usually consists of subtitling, voice-over, or dubbing. Multilingual subtitling for Youtube, a routine activity for us, is increasingly popular.

The main phases for this task:

  • Creating a transcript of the original content
  • Inclusion of other texts and inscriptions appearing on the screen, according to the customer’s instructions
  • Inclusion of non-textual sounds (e.g., noise, music, etc.), according to the customer’s instructions
  • Adding time code to the transcription
  • Translation, editing, linguistic check
  • Delivery of the final materials and files (typically in .doc, .sub, .srt, or .xls format)
  • Subtitling, voice-overs, and dubbing.
