Interpretation types:

• Synchronous interpreting or Simultaneous interpreting is when the interpreter and the speaker speak at the same time. This is the best method for multilingual international conference interpretation. Interpreters are in interpreter’s booths, translating simultaneously into all target languages, which can be selected from by the audience using interpreting machines, multi-channel headphones. Another – and its simplest – kind of simultaneous interpretation is into a person’s ear. Also known as chuchotage, it is when an interpreter directly translates what is said to the audience of one or few persons.
• Consecutive Interpretation or following interpretation is a case in which the speaker stops and then the interpreter gives the target-language interpretation of what was said.

With Accompanying Interpretation, the audience of a program or series of programs is accompanied by an interpreter, either in case of simultaneous or following interpreting. This is generally practiced when receiving a business delegation, for a plant visit, or in connection with leisure activities.

Important: a native-language interpreter is not enough! It greatly improves the interpretation quality when background materials are prepared in advance. If you can provide this for your task, then send it to our interpretation office.
